Schofield Street
This home, located in Auckland’s inner suburbs, is thoughtfully nestled into a sloping clay site. The main living areas are elevated on a platform above the basement garage, offering sweeping views over the surrounding neighbourhood. The living room seamlessly connects to a generous outdoor space, positioned sociably above the street to encourage a sense of connection and openness.
The design showcases a bold, rugged aesthetic with in-situ poured concrete left intentionally raw, embracing its industrial character. The visible concrete skeleton, with its simple trabeated frame, strikes a balance between timeless, ancient forms and contemporary architectural expression.
