Poured Pleates

Situated on a unique dual-frontage site, Poured Pleats is a striking home that seamlessly blends heritage and modernity. Designed to complement the existing Edwardian villa, this bold addition transforms the rear street presence into an architectural statement.

The design takes inspiration from the villa’s traditional gabled rooflines, reinterpreted as a folded concrete roof that commands attention. Concrete weatherboards further connect the new structure to the original house, creating a harmonious relationship between past and present. Inside, the pleated addition forms a dramatic social hub that opens to a lush garden. With its glazed front and back, the space is flooded with natural light, offering serene views of the surrounding suburb while maintaining a sense of privacy.
